Zeer gevoelige 12,1 Megapixel Canon CMOS-sensor
De uiterst gevoelige CMOS-sensor type 1/1.7 werd ontwikkeld met EOS DSLR-sensorexpertise en levert in combinatie met de DIGIC 5-processor zeer hoge kwaliteit, vooral bij hogere ISO-snelheden en bij weinig licht.
HS System met DIGIC 5
Het HS System is een krachtige combinatie van de DIGIC 5-beeldprocessor, die 6 maal krachtiger is dan DIGIC 4, en een uiterst gevoelige CMOS-sensor. Hierdoor kun je bij weinig licht tot ISO 6400 foto's maken met weinig ruis en een hoge beeldkwaliteit. Een flitser of statief is dus vrijwel overbodig.
Veelzijdig objectief. Intelligent IS
Dankzij een helder f/2.0-objectief kun je nog beter foto's maken bij weinig omgevingslicht. Met het 24mm-ultragroothoekobjectief maak je fantastische landschapsfoto's en met het 5x zoomobjectief kom je wel heel dichtbij je onderwerp. Met Intelligent IS wordt automatisch uit 7 modi de juiste instelling gekozen voor de Optical Image Stabilizer, zodat je verzekerd bent van scherpe, gedetailleerde foto's en video's.
Lens Control Ring, regeling voor ruisreductie, en RAW
Met de Lens Control Ring heb je snel toegang tot functies zoals de zoom, het diafragma, de sluitertijd, de scherpstelling en de ISO-snelheid. Regel de ruisreductie die wordt toegepast op je foto's of maak opnamen in de RAW-indeling voor nabewerking met de meegeleverde Canon Digital Photo Professional-software (DPP).
GPS
Voeg met de GPS-labels belangrijke gegevens over je locatie toe aan elke foto die je maakt. Met de functie GPS Logger kun je je locatie op gezette tijden laten vastleggen, zodat je met de meegeleverde Map Utility-software je reis kunt bekijken.
Full HD-movies, HDMI-CEC
Maak superieure Full HD-movies (1080p) met 24 fps en stereogeluid. Dankzij de HDMI-CEC-miniaansluiting kunnen films zonder kwaliteitsverlies worden afgespeeld op compatibele HDTV's.
7,5 cm (3,0 inch) PureColor II G LCD-scherm
De geharde glaslaag van het heldere 460k-dots LCD-scherm zorgt voor meer sterkte en betere afleesbaarheid bij fel omgevingslicht.
High-speed Burst HQ
Dankzij de mogelijkheden voor beeldverwerking van DIGIC 5 kun je maximaal 8 beelden opnemen met een snelheid van 9,6 fps in volledige resolutie in de modus High-speed Burst HQ.
Smart Auto, Multi-area witbalans
Smart Auto selecteert camera-instellingen uit 32 verschillende scènes (21 in de movie mode), waardoor je automatisch optimale resultaten krijgt. De Multi-area witbalans compenseert voor de aanwezigheid van meerdere lichtbronnen, voor natuurlijk ogende resultaten.
Optionele waterdichte cameratas
Bescherm je camera onderwater tot een diepte van maximaal 40 m met de optionele waterdichte behuizing WP-DC43.
